OTTO X Hotel

The best parts were the location, the room, our little balcony, and the view. The cat living at the hotel was incredibly cute too, though she deserves better. Those few positives didn’t make up for the stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it for more than two nights. Getting our luggage inside was difficult from the start. The route had stairs, and the cement ramp for bags was broken. I think it would only take a few hours to fix, but nobody came to help. A man who was often around the hotel, sometimes behind reception, watched two girls struggle with heavy suitcases in the yard. I had my hand in a splint, and he still didn’t help, either as staff or simply as a person. During our 12 days, the room was never cleaned. I asked three receptionists on three occasions, and no one came. Communication was difficult because most of the receptionists didn’t speak English at all. The one who seemed to care and spoke better was the evening and night shift receptionist.

I spent more than a week here and had a really good stay. It’s central but still quiet, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff were kind, and the service was very good. One of the best locations.

The hotel itself was fine, but the stay was let down by a few things. The sheets still had hair on them when we arrived, and the beds didn’t seem properly cleaned. We were told we could ask for an extra blanket whenever we needed one, but ours never arrived. The nightly price was changed three times, which caused stress and confusion. We also weren’t told clearly in advance that air conditioning cost extra and wasn’t included in the room rate. The inconsistency, cleanliness, and lack of transparency made the experience much less enjoyable.

The location is convenient, and the rooms are new. That’s about all I can say in its favor. The rooms weren’t properly cleaned, with hair in the bed and a dirty toilet. Everything felt rushed, as if the only concern was getting money from guests. The shared balcony between two rooms felt unsafe, since neighbors could easily get into your room. There was a pile of junk, construction waste, and furniture by the entrance, so it wasn’t even clear where the main entrance was. The flowerbeds were dry, with dust everywhere. The walls are thin enough that you hear every word from next door. At 7 a.m., an employee talked loudly on the phone outside, making it impossible to sleep. Staff seemed incompetent, and at checkout they demanded that I leave a five-star review. It’s a strange place with no comfort or security. Places like this shouldn’t exist.
