Graf Victor Hotel

The staff were really nice, but our arrival was a problem: we’d booked a family room and were put in a small one instead. They asked us to give them a day, and the family room was good once we got it. The pool was VERY boring, with no slide, and cleaning it took two days.

The staff were great, breakfast was wonderful, and the beach is just steps away. It’s outside downtown Alanya, though an easy drive gets you there. There’s a Migros nearby and a lovely little beach bar down the street, around a 10-minute walk or less. We got a whole one-bedroom apartment, with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, balcony, and even a washer. We did laundry, which is unusual on holiday, and the place worked really well for a stay.

We booked through Airbnb, though the app didn’t show the hotel’s name. Our family room was clean and roomy, with a glimpse of the sea. There was no housekeeping during our two-night stay. The living-room AC worked okay, but the bedroom one didn’t. We reported it, and the receptionist said a technician would come in a couple of hours, but nobody came before we left.

The food and cleanliness were awful. Bugs kept showing up on our bed, and the room only got cleaned after we asked over and over. The location was bad too: apart from the beach, there was nothing within even a 30-minute walk. We regretted booking as soon as we checked in. Reception staff didn’t seem to know their jobs, apart from one woman who was barely there. If you have an excursion pickup, you may miss it because the hotel staff and reception don’t communicate the pickup details properly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
