The place was filthy throughout. The mattress was covered in marks, the fridge was rusty and moldy, the bathroom tiles had black marks, and the toilet was disgusting. The sheets had holes, and the balcony table was awful and needed throwing out. My room was cleaned only twice, and the towels were changed twice over the weeks, both times only because I asked. The brothel next door, attached to this apartment, stayed open until 4am, with men coming and going noisily all night.

The location is one of the best things here, but the owner's lack of respect for guests is deeply frustrating. The rooms haven't been renovated and everything is very old. The elevator has no doors, so it doesn't feel safe, and the shower is ancient with water that's almost cold. The price doesn't match the quality. It feels like the owner cares only about profit and money, even when guests pay more than 50 euros, not about treating people with humanity. I hope he learns to respect people, especially his guests. This doesn't fit with Muslim tradition either. Everything is dirty and old. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who respects themselves.

We were meant to stay seven days, but travelled out on February 11, 2023 and flew back to the UK eight hours later, on February 12. We ran for our lives. There were bad boys staying in the apartment, people who had been living in the same building for years. It was a bad experience. This isn't a resort, just an apartment building where residents rent some empty rooms to holidaymakers. The receptionist was very rude and racist, with no customer service skills. He spent 30 minutes chatting and laughing loudly on the phone before he dealt with us and took us to the room. As soon as he left, we opened the fridge to put food away and a huge cockroach jumped out. My 15-year-old daughter and I ran from the room, and she started crying. The place smelled, the toilet was dirty, and the white sheets had turned brown and were badly torn. Long story.

We slept well, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and everything worked. My friend and I found the staff really friendly, and if you ask for something, they'll help. The Wi-Fi was very good, and they cleaned every day. It's not a five-star hotel, but it has what you need to be comfortable. Cleopatra Beach is five minutes away, and the seaport and bar street are about 15 minutes on foot. I'd recommend it to open-minded people who care more about a good experience than endless food and drinks in an all-inclusive package.
