The room was cozy and well kept, and the welcoming atmosphere and easygoing service made the stay feel effortless. I’d definitely recommend it as a relaxing place.

The garden was the highlight for me, with its fruit trees and palms tended every day by a gardener, a lovely view of the botanical garden, turtles, and the cutest cats. I fed 12 beautiful cats every evening. Please look after them, this is their home and we’re only visitors. Across the road is the beach, and I recommend beach N 8, with water sports nearby. I’ll definitely return with my whole family. Merhaba hotel felt like being at home in my aunt’s villa, and made me feel like a special guest. The quiet atmosphere, lovely garden, kind staff, and sense of calm made it feel like a real break. This was my 183rd hotel, and my time at Merhaba hotel was perfect, 10+. I was there for a week and found it really relaxing, almost like having a private villa. The staff were so friendly that it felt like being cared for by family, and any issue got sorted. The receptionist spoke English and was always happy to help. At my first breakfast I mentioned I was vegetarian, and the next mornings the hotel owner prepared vegetarian breakfasts for me. Thank you so much for your care, Madame Nermiye. The hotel was very clean. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the towels and sheets smelled freshly laundered. I never had any issues. The pool was exceptionally clean, and there was no noise from children, no music, and no garbage after Russian tourists. People who complain about old furniture and write bad reviews should choose the Rixos Hotel if they’re willing to spend a lot, though they might still run into door malfunctions there. For me, Merhaba hotel’s peaceful feel and care mattered most.

The mosquito problem was awful. I got 20 bites on the first day, and I blame the neglected gardens and stagnant water. There was also a sewage smell, and they simply didn’t seem to care. The mattress had springs sticking up; after three trips to reception, they did change it. The rooms were basic, had no kettle, and the shower head was broken. You couldn’t take the room towels to the pool, and the old towels had holes. For an all-inclusive stay, there was no tea I could drink, no coffee my girlfriend could drink, and no fresh milk. There was one bar and only three alcoholic drinks: beer in 200ml plastic cups, and vodka and gin in 100ml paper cups. Orange, coke, and water also came in those tiny paper cups, just a mouthful. You couldn’t take hotel water out in a bottle, even though it’s free outside the hotel. Breakfast meant hard-boiled eggs, pancakes, cheese, one kind of processed meat, and the same salad as every meal. No breakfast cereal, and no meat or cheese at other meals. The main meals changed between chicken, chicken liver, chicken legs, and sausage meat, but there was nothing for kids food-wise, and nothing for kids at all. There was no entertainment, not even a big TV. I was there when the World Cup started. Avoid this hotel unless all you need is somewhere to sleep and you don’t mind the mosquitoes or missing out on tea, coffee, and breakfast.
