Meryan Hotel - All Inclusive

We rented a car through the hotel and the deal was really good. I checked it against online prices, so it felt worth it. Shopping was handy too: there's a clothing shop downstairs with surprisingly good quality for the price, about like the large mall across the street to the left. People accepted dollars and euros everywhere, so local cash didn't seem necessary. You do have to haggle, and the opening prices are high, but it was much better than Egypt, where sellers were a lot pushier. We spent 7 nights here. The breakfasts were the standout, probably the best we've ever had anywhere, and everything tasted delicious. The chefs really know what they're doing. The large shrimp were a little bland, but the rest was perfect. Dinner had a different theme each evening, American, Turkish, and more. The beach was made of fine pebbles that gently massaged your feet. Our room was on the top floor with a partial sea view, visible when you turned your head left. Because our flight was late and our two small children needed naps, we paid extra for late checkout. For the last few hours they moved us to a lower room near or under the kitchen. We were lucky it was only for about 5 hours 😄. The cocktails used local alcohol, but tasted great. My wife had a massage at the hotel; I went to another nearby hotel, where they picked me up, gave me the massage, and brought me back.

We came for our 40th wedding anniversary and the hotel made the occasion far more special than we expected. I called ahead about arrangements, and Kristina took care of an amazing table, flowers, and gifts. A big thank you to her. Imran, the manager, made time to sit down with us, ask how the stay was going, and check that we had what we wanted. He told us his advice to staff was that tourists come for a dream, so give it to them. That's exactly how it felt. Umit at reception handled all my difficult requests with a smile and a great attitude. Nazife at the main reception bar was lovely, friendly, and fun. Elif, the TUI rep, explained our excursions clearly and was so helpful and professional that we felt at ease and safe booking them. Birdal, Batin, Semih, Betul, and Fatih were also attentive, friendly, and helped make the stay better. The place is like a palace, much more beautiful in person than the photos suggest. Our room was large, clean, and perfect, with an awesome balcony and sea views. The pools were great and never short on space, and there was beach access by a jetty. We enjoyed the food, especially the authentic Turkish dishes, and the staff were welcoming. We were impressed by everything and will definitely return to Meryan Hotel.

From August 21 to September 2, I stayed at Meryan Hotel, and the holiday was wonderful. The food was varied and tasty, the drinks were good quality, and the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and ready to help, so many thanks to the staff. I did slip on the pier stairs while entering the sea and broke my toe. They were very slippery, and it would be good if the stairs were cleaned regularly and made safer for guests. Even with that unpleasant incident, I had an amazing vacation and would gladly return.

Nodo brings such a great atmosphere, and with him around nobody gets bored ;) I love coming back here for the service and rooms. The one downside is the location, it's a 2-hour bus ride from the airport. Everything else is excellent. I can wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely return again :)
