I had dinner with the local fish, which was great, and they arranged a boat trip for me too. I enjoyed it. The shared balcony was a nice spot to sit and take in the surroundings, or hang beach things to dry. My room had lovely scenery, and as a solo traveler I felt safe, even though the building, fixtures, and furniture aren't state of the art. It really did feel like staying with friends. It's a family-run place, a bit of a cliché to say, but true. Thanks to everyone, especially the PR supervisor (!) and 'baby Yunus', who made all the difference. His lullaby recording kept playing, and I spent the time wanting to curl up somewhere for a nap. I left very happy and will be back in September.

The person running the place was nice, but the stay wasn't worth the 105 EUR we paid for a double bedroom. The rooms were nothing special, you could hear every step from the room above, and breakfast was average. We only later realized there were plenty of cheaper pansiyons with spare rooms around the castle, and that area was much nicer too. We hadn't been able to work that out when searching online, and it looked like there weren't other places to stay nearby.

The staff were lovely and did all they could to make the stay go well. They also suggested good activities and deals, so I really recommend booking through this place.
