Orient Suite Hotel

The breakfast was nice, the pool was good, and there's even a playhouse for kids, so it feels very family-friendly. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are good, and the staff are lovely. They can even do a tattoo if you'd like. Air conditioning costs €7 extra, and you'll definitely need it in Turkey.

The beds were great and we slept well. The staff were kind and helpful, and the pool and kids' area were good. Still, we'd probably pick another hotel next time, though the stay was okay overall. We spent a week in a family 1+1 room. You pay extra for the air conditioning, which only runs when your key is in the holder. Each room had one unit. The one in the kids' room didn't work on the first day, though it was fixed on day two, and the hotel didn't refund us for that day. The safety deposit box also costs extra. Ours jammed one night, leaving us unable to open it. After several discussions and a few “technicians,” we got it open. Our money was locked inside for a day, and management didn't refund us. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day and nothing special. Some days we considered eating out, but at least it put something in our stomachs. The hotel's supermarket was a bit pricey; the same things cost much less at a local shop 150m down the street.

I spent about a week here and had a nice time. The pool and rooms were clean, the atmosphere was great, and the bar was awesome. Free wifi was a nice bonus. Reception was wonderful too. I became friends with Esmaiil, who worked the night shift, and he was really nice to be around.

I've been coming here for four years, and it gets worse each year. The food is atrocious. The cleaning staff are nice, but the bar and reception staff are rude. Around 90% of the guests are Russian, and they have to be the rudest people on earth. To sum it up, don't touch this hotel with a barge pole. Alanya itself is beautiful, though.
