Palmeras Beach Hotel

The service was awful. At reception we met the supposed owner, who called himself Tokah, along with Rashad and a Russian woman who didn’t say a word. They insulted my mother, saying she was old and couldn’t walk, and offered us a first-floor room. When we refused, they sent us to the fifth floor, which the elevator doesn’t even reach. They never apologized. Their exact words were, “When we get a reservation from Booking, if there’s a room we let you in, if not then too bad.” My poor mother was shouting at the top of her lungs in reception, begging for a proper room, and they didn’t care. The staff were completely useless and seemed to know nothing at all.

My family and I spent a week here, and it was one of our most unforgettable holidays. The amenities were all great, and every staff member was friendly and helpful. We’d love to come back :)

The sunbeds were the one small frustration. People put towels on them early in the morning and then left them unused for hours, though that happens at many resorts. There were plenty of activities during the day, and the animation team brought lots of energy and fun. The food was tasty with lots of choice, even if it got a little repetitive after a while. I especially liked all the cats around the hotel, they made the place feel cozy. The rooms were very clean, and staff were so friendly and helpful. The guys at the bars were especially welcoming. I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels, but never felt as good as I did at Palmeras Beach Hotel. I had an amazing stay and would love to return.

The location near the center of Konakli was the only good thing for us. We were disappointed with this 5-star ultra all-inclusive hotel and don’t recommend it, especially at its higher price compared with cheaper hotels offering ultra all inclusive. Our room was on the top floor, with a terrace about 20 centimeters wide, so there was nowhere to go outside and dry towels or swimsuits. The food was sometimes good but lacked variety for this kind of hotel. Both of us got sick two days in a row from the cuisine. The restaurant and food weren’t very clean, and I often had to wash glasses and forks myself because I could see food and drink left on them. The room’s “drink bar” had two colas, two waters, and two sodas on the first day, but for the other six days they refilled only two water bottles. Pool loungers were taken by towels from 7 in the morning every day, so we couldn’t lie down there. With this many guests, they should add more loungers for days when the beach flag is red. The lobby bar opens at 10:00. At 9:55 I asked for coffee and was told, “NO! You have to wait.” The woman there was very rude. I also asked for a chocolate shake after seeing another guest drinking one, and the man said they didn’t offer it. After an argument, another man came and made it for me. The staff seemed lazy and unwilling to treat guests properly for the money paid. They were often tired and rude. For an ultra all-inclusive hotel, I expected food available 24/7, especially compared with cheaper places, but cookies and ice cream were only available at set times. At night the snack bar had only burgers and onion rings, which were oily and tasteless. The spa employee kept following me for two days in a row to get me to pay for a massage.
