Semt Luna Beach Hotel

The beach across the road is public, dirty, and choppy, and we couldn’t find anywhere to wash off afterward. Back at the hotel, the pool is tiny and didn’t look clean to me. Breakfast was disappointing too: the jam was tasteless, and the olives came in a little packet. I didn’t see much else. For lunch or dinner, I couldn’t find anything worth eating, apart from one or two bland snacks. The shower area is cramped, and the room felt so unclean that even turning on the tap made me feel gross. The beds were average. There was a musty smell in the room and a strong, unpleasant perfume smell throughout the hotel. The elevator was broken and didn’t reach the first floor, so anyone with heavy bags has to carry them. If you ask for a refund, they’ll make it difficult, and you can be treated badly even though you paid to stay there. I don’t think it’s worth a penny. Those are my experiences. We lost 7,500 TL through this hotel and the agencies acting as intermediaries, and they haven’t returned the money. At first we were meant to stay here, but they redirected us to another hotel. When we refused, they said not to worry and promised a refund. It still hasn’t arrived. In my view, this is outright fraud. I’m going to report them and see what happens. Don’t go there or book with them.

There is no hotel called By Luna Beach, according to what I found. The hotel is actually named Semt Luna Beach. Don’t be taken in by the By Luna Beach name, and don’t call the number on the website. They book you, take your money, then call a day before your trip saying there’s a problem with the hotel and cancel. When you ask for a refund, they say it’s gone to accounting and will be processed, but nobody gets back to you. Someone called Serhat, who said he owned the agency, kept putting us off, promising to refund us and telling us to call at a certain time. We eventually found the hotel’s own number. At first they said they knew nothing and tried to avoid responsibility, then they said we’d been scammed and that they were in a legal dispute. As of September 11, 2025, we’ve filed a complaint with the Konya Public Prosecutor’s Office. Don’t fall for it or call those numbers.

I got my money back by filing a credit card chargeback with the bank. If you paid by credit card, I recommend trying that too.
