Gardenia Hotel

We came home to Hungary with lovely memories and would happily return for another holiday. Hotel Gardenia, thank you! The beach is very close, clean, and a nice place to relax. There were friendly, cute cats around the hotel terrace and in the nearby park. We stayed for a week in July 2025. The room was well equipped, with cleaning and fresh towels every day. The food was varied and delicious each day, and the staff were always kind and quick, doing their best to make us feel comfortable. They deserve lots of praise.

The meals were a highlight for me, always fresh, varied, and delicious. Eating on the sixth floor made them feel even more special, with a breathtaking view over the beach and sea, especially at sunset. Gardenia Hotel is just a few steps from the beach and within walking distance of the city center, so we could enjoy both without a car. The hotel was clean, well kept, and welcoming, with care given to details and guests’ comfort. The staff made the stay memorable. They were professional, helpful, warm, and approachable, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. It never felt like we were just another guest. I had a fantastic time and would return without hesitation. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it.

The only things I liked were the restaurant view and the location across from the beach. The view was good from my room too, but I could hear street music and people talking because the windows aren’t double glazed. For the price, I expected much better. It felt like a four-star hotel charging five-star prices, with three-star service and two-star staff. There was no animation, the pool was too small for the hotel, and the rooms were cheap and basic. Some staff were rude, and nobody at reception smiled when I checked in at night. Most staff didn’t speak English, apart from the one nice woman who manages reception. The worst part was getting trapped in the elevator between floors. The light went out, I was in agony and screaming for a while, and the alarm didn’t work. Eventually it moved. I went to reception to tell them, but the staff dismissed me and didn’t seem to care. It could have been very serious if I’d been stuck longer. I used the stairs for the rest of the holiday. A horrible experience. For this price, I could have gone somewhere much better.

We really enjoyed the calm, friendly atmosphere and the pool area, which had plenty of sunbeds. My room had an amazing view, especially at sunset, and it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The location was ideal, just steps from Kleopatra Beach and near the city center. Staff were kind and ready to help, and the restaurant served delicious food with a good choice every day. I’d definitely recommend Gardenia Hotel to anyone visiting Alanya.
