Senza Sunset Beach Hotel

I'm changing rooms, and even other guests I've met here have said the same things. The AC doesn't work, the room isn't properly clean, there are patches everywhere, the fridge is hot, and no one helps after hours. The toilet paper had clearly been used and wasn't replaced. Shower water swings from cold to hot and back even when you leave the lever alone. Just watch the video. They need to work on these problems if they want to be a real five-star hotel, because right now it's barely a three-star place. I hate being the person who complains, but I had to say something so others don't make the same mistake. I'll check back later to make sure this review is still up.

The beach was rough too: rocks and concrete slabs make getting into the sea difficult and sometimes dangerous, with sharp stones or shells that can sting. There are no umbrellas, just a permanent roof, so in the afternoon you're fully exposed to the sun. After rain, loungers stay wet, the beach is rarely cleaned, and plastic cups and bottle caps are left around. Loungers and tables are often dirty. The slides only run two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon. A cemetery directly to the right of the hotel isn't mentioned in the description, which irritates many guests. We stayed 12 days, and the hotel did not feel like five stars. Meals were often cold, refills took more than 30 minutes, and the selection was small and limited. Fruit was mostly tangerines, honeydew melon, and watermelon. Desserts were simple, like pudding, there was no seafood and only one kind of fish. Meat was sometimes undercooked, so we mostly ate vegetables. Tables and floors were dirty, dishes greasy, and outdoor eggs or pancakes meant long waits. Drinks were only available at the bar, with no table service. There were no snacks between meals or food on arrival or departure. The rooms were old, with squeaky doors, a wobbly faucet, fluctuating shower temperature, a noisy toilet, scratched furniture, and a very hot refrigerator. Cleaning was inadequate, there were stones and mold in the bathroom, and the linens were rarely changed. The shower leaked, and mosquitoes and moths got into the room. There was no second blanket for our child, and an electrical outlet was right beside the crib. Smoke from barbecues and fish drifted into the room. There was no children's program beyond a short mini-disco around 8:00-8:30 p.m. The entertainer wore very short miniskirts, which some guests might find inappropriate. Staff hardly spoke English, German, or Russian, making communication difficult. Wi-Fi cost €3 per day but barely worked in the room. It kept dropping and only worked on one device. The restaurant cleared plates quickly, and minor repairs, such as work on the jetty, were done promptly. Those were good points. But at €3,000 for 12 days through Check24, the hotel was significantly overpriced. The rooms, food, and service fell well below what you'd expect at this level, closer to three stars. We travel regularly and know the difference between a true five-star hotel and a true five-star hotel. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this one.

The rooms and bathrooms need updating, and getting here from the airport takes a long time. We're practically the last hotel tourists are dropped at. Still, the air conditioning works even if you leave with your key card, so you come back to a cool room. The pool is adequate, and there are waterslides. The beach is private and has a pier. The hotel has recently joined the SENZA chain and is working to make up for standards that had slipped. The spa is excellent and renovated, with competent, friendly staff. I'd start with the Turkish hammam and follow it with massages. The kitchen puts out something freshly prepared for every meal, and everything is clean and tidy. The cakes are fantastic, and we always found enough to eat. Even with an early departure, you can skip a lunch box and find food in the dining room; no one will kick you out. Wojtek speaks Polish, and deserves congratulations. If you have a late flight after your stay ends, they let you eat, use the facilities, and stay until the end of the day. All in all, it's a pleasant hotel with good food and a very good spa that's well worth visiting. It should suit people looking for entertainment as well as those who want peace and quiet.

We came as a group of 28 on September 22nd and we're still at the Ötel. There's plenty of food, the staff are attentive and respectful, and the animation team is very good. Everything has been great so far. If we're lucky, we'll come again next year.
