Sunstar Resort Hotel

The room wasn't cleaned for four days, which was completely unacceptable. There wasn't even a bin, so rubbish piled up with nowhere to put it. The staff weren't welcoming or particularly helpful, and despite the hotel's child-friendly claims, there was very little for families with young children. The rooms let in a lot of sound. We could hear loud music around the hotel as well as neighbours talking and watching TV through the walls. That would be very frustrating with a baby or young child who needs sleep. Guests also have to pay extra for towels. Meals were repetitive, with little variety, and food often ran out well before serving ended. If we didn't arrive early, some items were gone and weren't replenished. Drinks stopped being available quite early in the evening, so we had to go to a local shop for anything later. That was frustrating for an all-inclusive holiday and not what we expected. The hotel feels dated and there's not much to do there. I was concerned about the representative selling excursions and activities. Another guest told me they paid £200 for an activity that turned out to be free. I also believe I was overcharged for an excursion. I'd advise checking prices elsewhere before booking through the hotel representative. This was a disappointing stay and poor value. With the cleanliness, facilities, noise, food running out, limited drink hours, and excursion pricing concerns, I wouldn't return or recommend it, especially for families with children.

The food was delicious, and the friendly, attentive staff made the place feel warm and welcoming. I really liked it. Great service, cleanliness, and staff made this a wonderful hotel.
