The Lumos Deluxe Resort Hotel - All Inclusive

The entertainment was one of the best parts this year. The shows were more varied and interesting, and the animation team kept guests entertained. But we came back to Lumos Deluxe after a really enjoyable stay last year, and this visit fell well short. Last year felt like a solid five-star experience; this time barely reached three. It's a shame, and we're unsure about returning. Housekeeping was the biggest letdown. The room was often dirty, and even with a tip they only made the bed. The jacuzzi was a nice upgrade, but it was dirty too, and despite asking several times, it never really got cleaned. Food was a 4 out of 5, okay but repetitive and worse than last year. The à la carte restaurant was a disaster: we waited about 15 minutes just for water, and staff cleared plates before we'd finished. The white fish was full of bones, which shouldn't happen, and the food was pretty bad despite looking nicely presented. Service generally felt worse than before. Staff seemed less friendly and smiley, cocktails disappointed, and it sometimes felt as if the hotel mainly catered to Russian-speaking guests. English wasn't used much, which made communication harder for others.

We're here on vacation right now (09/30), and we're really happy with the hotel. Bars around the property serve food and drinks all day, and reception staff are welcoming, ready to answer questions and help however they can. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and everything is tidy and spotless. Our room is clean and well looked after. We'd recommend it, 100%!

We had a decent stay, with some nice touches, though the food choices and cleaning could improve. The rooms were put in order each day, and I liked the towel art. Towels were replaced daily when we left them on the floor. Still, nobody vacuumed during our stay, and the toilet was only sanitized when we arrived. Most days the food was much the same. One evening had a special spread with seafood, sushi, kebab and more. It wasn't really to my taste, since most dishes were meat in sauces and there weren't many plain options like grilled chicken. At the evening barbecue, some meat was undercooked and still pink inside. Otherwise, the experience was nice.

The kids had a brilliant time, with lots to do, endless desserts, and non-alcoholic cocktails. The private beach and its bar were great for adults and kids alike. We stayed in August as a family of 10, five adults and five children, and paid £850 per person. Staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms stayed clean, and the outdoor spaces were well maintained. Some parts of the rooms are worn and could use a bit of care. It's quite remote, with only a couple of local shops nearby. We took a taxi to Alanya, around £10-£12 each way. I'd recommend it for families wanting a fun, relaxed, friendly stay together, as long as they're not expecting a brand-new luxury resort.
