We stayed one day on July 26th. Apart from a smell, we had no cleanliness problems. Still, I think you shouldn't go to Amasra at all, and definitely not by car. I'm not talking about every local, but very few seemed to have any humanity. One person might deliberately hit your car, another might bully you over a foreign license plate. The narrow passages make it barely possible to reach the guesthouse, and the neighbor next door may even try to slash your tire with a knife. I kept my SUV out, and people who drove in had a terrible time getting back out. At Bozköy, you pay a fortune to get onto the beach, and even the showers cost tokens. The sea was freezing and made our skin ache. It felt like a waste of time and money. We spent the rest of our holiday in Safranbolu and wished we'd gone there from the start.

We stayed as a family from July 13th to July 15th and had no problems. The location is excellent and everything was impeccably clean. Thanks to the owner, Dursun abi. I'd definitely choose this place again.

The only thing going for this terrible guesthouse is its central location, though it's at the far end of Amasra and a five-minute walk away. I paid 1,500 lira for a dirty, smelly room measuring just 6 square meters. I've never felt so ripped off. Stay in room 102 at Balkaya and you'll forget every bad place you've stayed before. I don't think it could get worse.

There was barely room to move around the three single beds, and the TV remote had no batteries. No air conditioning either, just a tiny fan, and the windows had no mosquito screens. I came hoping to get one night of rest and ended up awake all night because of the mosquitoes. I'm writing this at 5 PM, which probably tells you how uncomfortable it was. I’d passed up an air-conditioned room on a back street for half the price because its bed was old. What was I getting for 2,500 TL? If you want to relax, think it over carefully.
