Ozyurt Otel Amasra

The staff were friendly, and the location is perfect. Still, apart from that, there's not much good to say. The rooms are small and stuffy, and the AC only blows air because the cooling mode doesn't work. You might think you can use it as a fan, but it switches itself off every half hour and has to be turned back on. Opening the windows might make sleeping more comfortable, except there are no mosquito nets and you'd be dealing with mosquitoes all night. After a few uncomfortable hours, a shower might help, but the towels weren't clean. We had a triple room and there weren't enough of them either.

The location was excellent, with everything only 3-5 minutes away, and the room was very clean. The reception lady with glasses was extremely sweet, polite, and understanding. Breakfast was adequate and the price quite reasonable, though it could have had some hotter choices like french fries or menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs). We were torn between liking and disliking the stay. The sea-view rooms don't have balconies, just a small window where you can glimpse the sea. There was no water in the fridge, and nobody brought any for three days. There was only one roll of toilet paper, which wasn't enough, so I had to get more from outside instead of asking. The bathroom water pressure was very weak. That picture of a murdered woman on the ceiling was really unpleasant. The shadow pattern on the bathroom ceiling looked like a woman who had fallen and died. Why use lighting like that? It's so strange and frightening. My child was scared to shower, so we had to wait beside him. Even I, at 27, couldn't stop staring at the ceiling.

The location was excellent, right in the center and within walking distance of the municipal parking lot. I stayed two nights in June 2024 with my wife and daughter, during the busy holiday season. Our room was clean and a good size, and staff were attentive and friendly. They dealt with any issues right away and found solutions. Breakfast was a standard buffet. Thank you.

We came to Bartın for a friend's wedding and booked Özyurt Hotel, but regretted it. There was hair all over the bed and the pillows were bright yellow when we got to the room. We told the staff it was dirty and that we didn't want to stay. They came up, saw it wasn't clean, and said they'd refund us and check us out. But at reception they said they had to speak with the owner first, and in the end they didn't return our money even though we never stayed. I strongly advise anyone planning a holiday in Amasra to avoid this hotel completely.
