Anadolu Hotels Esenboga Thermal

The SPA was clean and good, but the room really needs refurbishing. I also don't get why guests have to pay for the Aqua Park when it's part of the same complex.

I enjoyed the buffet food and coffee, and the grounds around the hotel are beautiful. It's a very large place. Since it's an airport hotel used by airlines for stranded travelers, some rooms and floors seem set aside for them. The nice photos don't match what you actually experience there.

Turkish airlines gave me a night here after I missed a connection. I used the gym, which was clean and fully equipped, and food was served three times a day. I can't say the food was bad. The hotel itself is big and beautiful, though a little old. The room was very basic, with no kettle or extras. If you end up stuck overnight at Ankara Airport, I'd recommend it.

We spent a lot of money and were treated badly at the door by security after calling ahead and being told we could come. Nobody mentioned a gender balance requirement, and it left me wondering why having a girl with us meant she couldn't enter the swimming pool. Is she an object or what? It's really disappointing to treat tourists this way. Thanks for the warm welcome. We wanted a good day and ended up having our worst day in Turkey because of you. Is this how a supposedly 5 star hotel should treat visitors?
