Başkent Center Hotel

We were a student group staying for three nights, and it was our worst stay. Breakfast was very poor. Even an omelette cost extra, and after checkout we were charged extra for tea or coffee. The night receptionist told us the hotel was a family hotel and alcohol wasn't allowed. If that's the policy for the lobby or the area in front of the hotel, they should tell a student group before arrival. Don't recommend it. Find somewhere else.

Free parking was easy, and there’s plenty of nightlife around if you feel like going out. You can also just stay in and use the hotel restaurant and bar. The staff are lovely and speak enough English to get by, and the breakfast is excellent with a good range of choices. Our room was comfortable, the shower was great, and it was generally quiet. It has everything we needed.

There are lots of cafes and restaurants close by, and the staff speak English very well and are helpful. Breakfast is good, and the room was a decent medium size for a couple. Some nearby cafes turn their music up on weekends, so you may hear it, but it's not coming from the hotel. I'd recommend staying here as a couple or with family.

I travel to Ankara for work often, and whenever I book a flight, I contact the hotel manager to reserve a room. The staff are professional, committed, and helpful, and the rooms are clean with reasonable prices. It's in one of Ankara's best areas, with a lovely atmosphere and easy access to historic sites, monuments, the metro, shopping malls, and good restaurants. For me, it's simply the best place to stay in Ankara.
