We drove around looking for the place because the address on Airbnb was wrong. When I asked about it, I was basically told I should be grateful they’d accepted my stay, and that I could leave if I wanted. I’m not an angry customer, but if you don’t know how to do something and don’t learn, you should own the shortcomings instead of getting defensive and pushing me to tell people about them. That only hurts the business while I move on. After reading all the negative reviews, you’d think they would’ve fixed the simple things by now. I’d just left, and nothing had changed. The way I was treated said a lot about their attitude.

The apartment was cozy, with a choice of a flat or duplex unit, and the staff were really friendly. It’s in a nice area, with restaurants, a supermarket, liquor shop, servo, and beauty shop within walking distance. The Australian embassy is about a 10-minute walk away. Just be ready to learn some Turkish or use Google Translate.

It was dirty, and the shower hose was only half a meter long, so you’d practically have to crawl to shower. There was a cooker hood but no oven. We had just one fork, three spoons, and a knife.

A good place to stay if you’re trying to keep costs down and save for your next trip.
