Esila Hotel

We got a different room quickly after the first one we were shown turned out not to be cleaned, and that replacement was fine. The bathtub still had no plug, though. When we asked the staff for one, they didn't understand and just said to fill the tub.

The breakfast had a good range, and getting around to the places I wanted to visit was easy thanks to the location. My room was comfortable and clean, and the clerks were really kind, attentive, and helpful. I can't confirm the problems described by some of the more negative reviewers. I had a very positive stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Ankara.

We could hear people talking in other rooms through the thin walls, and the bathroom was especially grimy, with hair on the tub and sink. The room was dirty too, and the linen didn't look clean. The location is the one thing that makes this place worthwhile. Some of the staff, apart from the ladies, didn't seem welcoming. They gave us no information when we arrived and kept giving our group sidelong looks. I wouldn't stay here again.

We were out of there within an hour of checking in. The place was so horrible that it doesn't deserve four stars, or even one. The rooms were filthy, with a carpet full of dirt and holes, dirty walls with holes, and broken chairs and table. Even the little shampoo bottles in the bathroom had already been used. There was no minibar in the room.
