Hotel Mithat

We booked three rooms ahead of time after arriving in Ankara from Istanbul, and got in around 11 PM. Mithat Hotel was our first place to stay in Turkey. The breakfast was delicious, served in a separate dining room on the mezzanine floor. We didn't find another breakfast like it anywhere else on our trip. The hotel has an old-fashioned style, but it was clean, with spacious rooms and well-kept bathrooms. The view of the beautiful mosque opposite was breathtaking. It's also accessible for wheelchair users and people with different abilities.

The view across to the mosque opposite Mithat Hotel was splendid. It’s a nice hotel with polite staff and good prices, close to many tourist attractions, as well as a park and bus stop. I’d recommend it for a city break or a longer trip.

The room was impressively spacious, and so was the bed. It was outdated, but in decent condition. The big downside is the mosque directly across the street, which woke me rudely at 6 a.m. The man at reception was lovely, friendly, and helpful. He made my daughter and me feel very welcome. We had an excellent stay.

For the price, this was a good choice, with a clean hotel, supportive staff, a great location, and a nice view. There were a few drawbacks: the bathroom was too small, there was no tissue box in the room, and I had to ask for water bottles. Still, I had a good stay at a reasonable price.
