Breakfast was good, and the view was great. The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and downtown is nearby. We stayed two nights in late February. We’d booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled of cigarettes and the balcony had cigarette butts all over it. The bathroom flooded when we showered, and the sink tap was wobbly, so we asked to change rooms. It also wasn’t as clean as a four-star hotel should be.

Glad I only had to stay one night. The room smelled of cigarettes, the toilet leaked, and a noisy generator ran all night right under my window. There was also a very loud party on the ground floor until 1 am. In the middle of the night, a screaming girl ran down the hallway with a man chasing her. Google lists this as a five-star hotel, but it isn’t one.

They insisted that we check out, something I’ve never encountered anywhere in the world. I asked for an extra blanket and customer service refused. They also charged extra for an omelet for my baby, who had woken up late. I had to explain why, even though breakfast was a buffet. Hotels should learn from the excellent customer service in the UAE.

The staff are nice, but the room is really cramped. Sound insulation is poor, so you can hear the person in the room next door. It’s also very hot when you first walk in, until you turn on the air conditioning.

I had a nice stay, and the staff were completely accommodating even though I don’t speak Turkish. The hotel itself is very nice 😌 ❤
