The receptionist was rude and unprofessional, staying on the phone about personal issues while guests waited. She wouldn't speak English or use a translation app, and expected us to understand Turkish. There was no attempt to help, apologize, or show basic courtesy. We ended up leaving earlier than planned, and our night in Ankara was ruined. The apartment at ÇANKAYA SUIT HOTEL was filthy and smelled strongly of mold and cigarette smoke. The floors were dirty, the walls stained, and the used, wet sheets and cigarette-smelling pillows seemed not to have been washed between guests. Our clothes smelled of smoke too. Open, half-used shampoo and soap bottles had been left behind. Mold and grime covered the bathroom fan, and the air conditioner didn't work. Its vent blades were broken and caked with dirt. The humidity and smell made sleep impossible. I had a severe allergic reaction overnight, with sinusitis, rhinitis, and coughing, and we had to buy medication to get through the stay. This place felt unsafe and unsanitary, and in my view it shouldn't be operating or listed on a booking site. I've stayed in remote towns and places with poor infrastructure, but never experienced this level of neglect. For me, ÇANKAYA SUIT HOTEL had no hygiene, hospitality, or accountability. I'd rather sleep at the train station than spend a night in this mold-infested place. Don't book it.

I booked two rooms for my family and me, paid 21,000 Turkish Lira in advance, and stayed for 6 days because I was in Turkey for work and had no choice. When I saw the conditions, the hotel wouldn't refund the payment. I strongly advise people against staying here, and expect this complaint to be taken seriously. My first night was in Room 301 on the third floor. I arrived at 1:00 AM to find an unbearable cigarette smell so strong it had gotten into the sheets. I couldn't sleep at all. The smell was mixed with food odors from the restaurant below, so I had to leave the window open just to breathe. The linen was dirty and foul-smelling, plumbing from upstairs made loud noises as if water were running inside my room, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and the tiles were old and damaged. The carpet had cigarette burns, and the furniture was extremely old, dirty, and neglected. At 1:00 AM, the receptionist on duty didn't speak English, behaved unprofessionally, and first refused to give me the Wi-Fi password, trying to charge extra. I called a friend who speaks Turkish to explain that Wi-Fi was included in my booking, and only then did he give me the password. Taking advantage of guests who don't speak the local language is shameful and unacceptable. I reported the room problem to a female staff member at 10:00 AM the next morning, but they didn't move me until 3:30 PM. I had to keep going to reception and insisting I couldn't stay in those conditions. The second room, on the fifth floor, was also poor. It faced the street, and the old windows did nothing to block traffic noise. The very old door let corridor and neighboring room sounds through, waking me up. Basic soundproofing was completely ignored. The room wasn't cleaned at all during the 6-day stay. The smell, lack of sleep, stress, and poor conditions badly affected my physical and mental health. I lost my appetite completely and got through the 6 days on IV fluids. I've never been through anything like it. I live in Europe and have traveled to more than 29 countries worldwide, but have never had such poor service, conditions, or treatment. The experience was shocking and unacceptable.

The location is the only positive; otherwise, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The staff don't speak English, so we had to use Google Translate for everything. The room had a poor view, wasn't clean, and smelled unpleasant, like smoke and sewage. There was no housekeeping, and it wasn't a pleasant stay. It may suit someone looking for a budget-friendly place in the Kizilay area who doesn't mind those problems, but I'd stay elsewhere.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a nice jacuzzi, so they were great for the price. But the curtains were much too small for the windows. We got in late, around 1am, after a long drive and just wanted to sleep. By about 6am, the sunlight had flooded the room. It seems like a small thing, but it meant we couldn't rest. The photos show the room at 6am.

The room was clean and the stay was pleasant. I'd definitely stay again.
