VE Hotels Golbasi

We stayed three nights with our two kids and got a duplex room with a door between the rooms. Everything felt fresh and clean and was in good condition. The staff were friendly and dealt with any problems right away. Breakfast was limited to the basics and may run out if you arrive late, but what was there was good. If you're looking for a hotel in Gölbasi, this is the one.

The lake is lovely, and the rooms are nicely positioned in this quiet, empty part of Ankara. The staff helped make our wedding go really well and made the day even better. Weddings happening at the same time can worry couples because they fear the sound will overlap, though it doesn't. There's room for improvement in the rooms, service speed and tipping policy. The lake has some algae and is a little dirty, though that's not the hotel's responsibility.

The hotel was extremely clean, and I liked the lake view, marble bathroom, room lights and friendly manager. The price was good for the quality. But the pool was very dirty and out of order, so I couldn't get the morning swim I'd hoped for. Breakfast was lousy. The security guy was arrogant, and the receptionist didn't speak any English.

A nice sunset over the lake, plus a restaurant with plenty of food choices. For the room price, the experience was perfect. The room and service were awesome, clean, thoughtfully designed and well planned.
