The Museum Hotel Antakya

The first floor turned out to be an actual archaeological museum, with beautiful views of mosaic floors and excavated ruins. We hadn’t expected anything like it when we arrived in Hatay looking for a good hotel during a short visit, and the whole discovery was a wonderful surprise. The hotel was built above archaeological remains after finds thousands of years old came to light during construction. The engineers and designers chose to make something unique around them, and it gives the building a remarkable atmosphere and sense of value. The rooms aren’t very big, but they’re comfortable and stylish. Reception staff were kind and professional. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years, and an experience like this is rare. If you’re in Hatay or passing through, it’s well worth a visit.

A fascinating hotel and museum built over the remains of a Roman settlement. I’ve never seen anything like it. It felt surreal to be here in a city so badly destroyed by the earthquake, now being rebuilt from the ground up.

They found Roman buildings dating to the 5th century AD during construction, and the designers built this distinctive hotel above the archaeological remains. It’s both a hotel and a museum in one, with a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

The museum and service were awesome, and the food was great too. The rooms are comfortable, and the way the hotel has been built around the ruins is so cool. Absolutely worth the trip!
