Citrus Park Hotel

Breakfast was the worst part of the stay. There was very little variety or meat, mostly a lot of salad, and the food was nearly inedible. We paid for breakfast, so it was a real disappointment, even with local shops nearby. We booked the family room for two people because the listing showed sofas and two rooms, and we wanted somewhere comfortable to sit and relax. When we arrived late, there was no sofa and the room didn't match the listing. In the morning staff said the booking.com photos were old and that only the next room up had sofas. They couldn't help, even after we explained that the pictures were why we'd booked it. We were extremely unhappy, since this wasn't what we paid for. There was no iron either, despite it being mentioned in the booking. Staff said none were available, so we bought one ourselves and got no reimbursement. The shower kept switching between hot and cold and never reached a good temperature. In the evening the hot water was shut off, leaving it lukewarm at best. We had asked for a sea view balcony and were put on the first floor, where there wasn't much of a view. I've tried to follow up on my ongoing complaint through booking.com, by messaging the hotel, and by calling, but they haven't responded. I wouldn't stay here again. The hotel's basics need to improve.

The location is good, quiet, close to the beach and some nice dining options, though a fair walk from the city center. But even with a low price, it wasn't worth a cent. I usually just want somewhere comfortable and cool, and I was really disappointed compared with the hospitality and kindness I found elsewhere in Türkiye. The room was dirty and falling apart. Electricity kept shorting, and the shower doors had been left off their hinges, so they wouldn't close and the bathroom flooded every time I showered. The hotel and exterior looked run down and unkempt, with laundry bags and rubbish crowding the place. Wi-Fi hardly worked. The walls were paper thin, so I could clearly hear my neighbor's conversations day and night, and people seemed to be allowed to use the pool all night, screaming and splashing loudly. Apart from the woman who checked me in, the staff weren't very friendly or professional.

The kitchen was missing basic things like a kettle, cooking utensils, and proper cutlery, despite my calling ahead to confirm it was fully equipped. Staff tried to help with our requests but fell short, and we couldn't cook proper meals. At night, loud music carried on well past midnight. Breakfast options had run out, staff seemed to put themselves first, and the coffee machine was broken and dirty. They also didn't know how to use it. The receptionist Natalia was professional and friendly, but she wasn't there later. I hope she finds success elsewhere, because this hotel doesn't deserve her talents. This was the worst hotel experience I've had, and I highly recommend avoiding it.

The pool was fine, though the building left it completely shaded for half the day. The restaurant was overpriced and the food low grade. The elevator also didn't work for one day. You pretty much get what you pay for, but the kitchen was barely equipped: we had only two small cups, no glasses, pan, scissors, or big knife. There's no modern TV or Netflix, just Turkish programs. The staff were kind but lazy. Breakfast was random, with pancakes, sausages, fries, coffee, and jam, while salad was missing about every third day. The lemonade was great when they had it. If knives or cups were missing, nobody would bring more unless you asked. The best I got one day is in the photo. 4/10, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're on a tight budget.
