Enda Lara Hotel

The fridge was so loud it made sleeping difficult. The staff were friendly and the room was neat, though the bathroom could use improvement.

We had such a relaxing stay. The family who own the hotel were friendly and quick to help whenever we needed anything. Alper at reception was especially caring and attentive. Our room was lovely, and having a kettle and fridge was handy. The hotel is also close to the sea and the airport. Thanks for making our stay so good.

The noise was the main drawback for me. The hotel sits under Antalya Airport’s flight path, and there isn’t much soundproofing. You can hear the TV and bathroom next door, and guests arriving late, slamming doors and stomping around, can make it hard to sleep. Better carpeting and more doors between hotel areas, preferably fireproof, might help. There’s no lift to the higher storeys either. The hotel is modest but decent for a 3* stay, a little outside central Antalya and close to the beach. Duden Park waterfalls and the cliffside boulevard along the seafront aren’t far, and that route is handy for walking or biking. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and markets within a few 100 meters. Staff were welcoming and helpful, especially the manager, who speaks excellent English. Facilities are basic, and the rooms needed refurbishment when I posted, which was promised for the next few months. Kettles for tea and coffee and small fridges were also promised, though I didn’t have either during my stay. There were no duvet or pillow covers, but that didn’t bother me. There weren’t any safes in the rooms yet, either. It’s a good choice if you’d rather save on accommodation and spend the money on excursions and dining out. I wouldn’t recommend it for long stays in the hotel. It’s not a spa resort, and the small pool isn’t used in winter, around UK winter, AFAIK.

I was there at 9 am, but they refused to serve me breakfast even though it was supposed to run until 10 am. When I asked, staff told me they would call the police. The staff were rude and arrogant, and the rooms and bathrooms had no windows. I complained and got a full refund and compensation from Expedia. I found the staff violent and illegally drunk on the job. Do not come here.
