Berlin Hostel & Street

Berlin Hostel is closed, but the owners still haven’t taken down the business page. The new leaseholders at this address have fully renovated the place and are waiting for a license before opening. Don’t book until the page has been replaced with the new owners’ business. They’re lovely people who helped us a lot, and we hope they can open soon.

We arrived late to check in and only learned the next day, from the new owners, that the hostel had permanently closed. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, but Berlin hostel and street is no longer operating as a hostel, so don't book it.

The staff made the biggest difference for me. They were kind, worked together like a family, and made me feel included. The location is great, and they've been flexible when I've needed last-minute luggage storage or to extend my stay. I'd consider it if you want an affordable place to rest or somewhere quieter to unwind from backpacking. I've used Berlin Hostel as a base three times while staying in Antalya on and off for personal business. I'd seen the mixed Hostelworld reviews and felt unsure about trying it, but my stays have generally been good. They're renovating to address past guests' concerns, making rooms less crowded, adding bathrooms and showers, and creating a shared social space.

The location is handy, but being beside a pub and a busy walking street meant noise from people, their conversations, and bags being dragged along the road, plus pub noise late into the night. The rooms could use more cleaning. I stayed two nights. The dorm room was an okay size, though fitting eight people in made it feel cramped. There were only two toilets on a floor serving more than 20 people. The washrooms weren't maintained very well, toilet paper wasn't replaced promptly, and bath towels cost extra to rent.
