I never stayed at this hotel, but I'm so grateful to the young man at the desk who helped me about two weeks ago. I'd become separated from my tour group in Antalya, it was getting dark, I don't speak Turkish, and I couldn't remember my hotel's name. Thinking it was the Royal Hotel, I ended up here. The desk clerk didn't speak English, but he let me charge my phone and used a translation app to communicate. He was patient and kind, and reassured me we'd work it out, which helped me calm down enough to look up the right hotel on my tour website. When I found it, he checked the address on Google Maps because mine wasn't working, then gave me directions. It was down the street. He treated a frazzled, middle-aged woman on her own with respect. I hope we'd show the same kindness in North America. Thank you. PS, if this was a different Royal Hotel nearby, please pass my thanks along to them!

I'm here now with my son and two grandsons. The location is handy for the centre, and our rooms have been tidy and clean. At check-in, they told us to let them know if we wanted the room cleaned, and after we asked, it was done promptly. Breakfast was included in what we paid, but the buffet is small, mostly cheese and cold meats, with nothing for the kids, so we ate out.

The air conditioning held up in 40-degree heat, and the room wasn't too bad. Breakfast was poor, basically nonexistent, and the family-run hotel had a moody atmosphere.

The room looked much worse than the pictures, and there was a lot of noise at night. We were out all day during our four-day stay, but they still didn't clean the room.

Our bedsheet had holes, and the seating table was really dirty. The rooms smelled so bad we had to buy our own air fresheners. They were also very narrow, with barely enough room to walk, and you had to squeeze past to get to the corner beds. Cleaning didn't happen daily. You had to ask reception for it before 11 AM, which is ridiculous. The bathroom was dirty and had a very cheap plastic showerhead and other appliances. They call it a 3-star hotel, but the service was below average even for a 2-star place.
