Our flight was delayed, so we arrived at 2 a.m. We appreciated that the woman waited up and let us in. But when it was time to pay, the amount was higher than the reservation price. When we asked, she said the lira’s value “goes up and down.” We felt we’d been scammed right on arrival. Insist that the reservation price is honored, and check that the card terminal shows the right amount in lira, not an inflated figure set at their convenience. Check everything carefully before paying. We’ve paid directly in lira elsewhere without the kind of inflation this owner applied. The breakfast was very basic, nearly poor, though the room itself was very nice and the women working there were kind. It’s the room charge that ruined the experience and earned this low rating. It’s no honest way to treat guests.

We loved the traditional charm of this hotel and its beautiful garden. The owner and staff were very nice, and breakfast was delicious. It’s right in the center of the old town, which I found the most interesting place to explore. The only downside was not having more time to stay 😊

We came for a concert and stayed one night. There was no electricity for half the night, but that was due to a fault with the city's electricity supplier, not the hotel. We enjoyed the lovely garden and a nice, generous breakfast, especially the fabulous olive oil 😍😍😍. We’d be happy to stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed one night with my partner and parents, and I’d highly recommend the place. It’s a lovely old traditional Kaleici building, with nicely decorated rooms that were spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast in the beautiful garden was great, too. We had a long chat with the owner over breakfast and really took to her as a family. She’s conscientious and, after doing a lot of good work in her former municipal role, still works on social issues to improve the local area and conditions for women farmers while running the hotel.

The natural garden was lovely, and breakfast was a real highlight. The food was neatly prepared in a Turkic style, and I enjoyed it a lot. The rooms felt old, though, and getting around with luggage was a bit inconvenient.
