The owners were friendly and welcoming, but that doesn’t make the high price feel justified. We stayed at House of Good Things for eight nights, and housekeeping came just twice, both times after we asked. They changed the towels and sheets, but didn’t actually clean the room. Check-in is at 3:00 pm. After a long trip, we arrived at 10:00 am and were asked for an extra €10 to check in early, which felt unreasonable at this price. The room had lots of mirrors that seemed to create a false impression of space in photos, and the room itself was very small. The place looks lovely from outside, but the quality doesn’t match the cost. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it for this price.

The evening receptionist was very polite and helpful, and Mr. Emir handled a tense moment with calm professionalism. An older woman, apparently from staff or management, was speaking quite loudly, which could have disrupted the atmosphere. Mr. Emir was respectful and made guests feel comfortable. He clearly knows how to manage a hotel. We stayed four nights in a charming, historic building, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient for exploring the area. It’s a warm, well-run place with great service, and we’d gladly return and recommend it.

We’ll find somewhere else next time. The area is very touristy, and the service felt inattentive, almost nonexistent. The hotel itself is nice, but too expensive for what you get. Our room was tiny, the bathroom even tinier, and it wasn’t properly clean. There were a few hairs around and no toilet paper.

Had such a lovely time at House of Good Things Hotel. The room is a little tight, but it worked perfectly for me traveling solo, and it was very clean. I’d definitely come back. Thank you! 💫

House of Good Things made us happiest because it was peaceful, affordable, and comfortable. We stayed in the backyard building since I wanted a cheaper room. It had enough space for two people and two suitcases, more than Mono Hotel but less than Blue sea garden. The bed sheets and towels looked and smelled clean, I saw no hair, and the bedroom floor looked clean too. There were three hair products, soap, and slippers, plus hot water in the shower. The bathroom was extremely small, though, and got wet and flooded. No breakfast is included. Restaurants are nearby, and birdsong carries through the quiet. You may hear cleaning and floor washing in the morning, but it settles down again. The staff seemed helpful, though perhaps we understood each other well because we speak the same language. We had no problems wherever we went, and I felt comfortable in the bed. Seriously, give it a try if peace and space matter to you. If you expect lots of attention, care, and cleaning, you might be happier at a four or five star hotel. We visited in April and also tried Mono Hotel and Blue sea garden. Mono was pleasant and quiet, with a view, and the workers were helpful, but famous restaurants and bars nearby played extremely loud music. We moved after two days to meyhane because they were full. Blue sea garden was loud too. Its room and bathroom were large and spacious, but the floors were dirty and there were no slippers. A belly dancer came to the restaurant, which wasn’t for me. The music ran until around 3 a.m., maybe longer, and we had to raise our voices to hear each other. People who like that kind of party may enjoy it. The workers were fine, but my man skipped a shower because the floor was dirty and the water was cold. I don’t know whether there was hot water, since I didn’t use it. There was plenty of shampoo. I didn’t enjoy the food, though it tasted good. It felt expensive for four small lamb chops, nearly 1000 Lira, and I expected more meat, not little slices. They also had many broken shelves, and I negotiated the price down. We’re deep sleepers, so we managed to ignore the noise.
