Kalispera Hotel

The location is perfect, and communication was no problem. Melih and the two housekeeper ladies were really friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. We had a good time and will definitely recommend the hotel to friends.

The room’s cleanliness was questionable. The bathroom was clean, but there were bedbugs on the bed and crawling around at midnight. It horrified me, and I was so disappointed. I reported it to the staff and changed rooms, but there were still bedbugs in the other room. I’d booked two nights and left at 3 a.m. on the first night because they really scared me. The hotel gave me no compensation or refund. The city centre location is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful when I had problems. Still recommend it if you don’t mind bedbugs :)

The room was clean and nice, though it could be bigger. The AC worked fully, the TV was in the right spot, and the lift always worked. Room service was very good, and reception staff were helpful. There’s free tea in the lobby 24 hours a day.

We were able to get some laundry done during our stay, 50 lira for 15 items, which seemed very reasonable. There’s a small parking area beside the building, just before it, and you can also reach it by going around the block to the rear. It probably fits up to six cars. The hotel has a lift. We stayed three nights at Kalispera Hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms are furnished well in a simple, modern style. The bathroom was the best I’ve experienced so far, with a rain shower head and marble effect wall tiles. There’s decent clothes storage and a TV with two English news channels. A kettle and fridge would be the only room additions I’d suggest. It wasn’t too noisy outside, even though the hotel is just a street away from the city centre. Shops, restaurants, and a large shopping centre with a food court and cinema are only a few minutes’ walk away. Kaleici Old Town is a flat walk of about 20 minutes.
