Oldies Hotel Bistro Restaurant

The manager’s response when we asked to cancel our second night was rude, and they wouldn’t guarantee a refund or try to help. That capped off a very disappointing stay. Getting there by car was stressful, especially late at night, because the Old Town streets are so narrow and crowded. Our room had music, people, and motorcycles outside from evening until morning, and the beds weren’t comfortable either. We couldn’t sleep. We left early, and the hotel seemed empty then, which made sense. If sleep, comfort, or respectful service matter to you, avoid this place.

At 4:51am, after arriving at 2am, I still hadn’t slept. A club across from the hotel had just finished a big party, and people were tossing out trash like Stephen Curry shooting a three-pointer. The room felt like part of the club, with smoke smell and drunk people shouting outside after our seven-hour journey. We only managed about four hours of sleep, then there was more noise from the big boxes of glass beer bottles and, I think, a cleaning truck around 6 or 7. I can’t even remember exactly. The other photo is of the famous club. The worker offered no comfort and said there’d be no refund. No effort at all. Forget Oldies if you want a nice experience or a quiet holiday. I hadn’t had much time in the “hotel” yet, but it looked exciting! :’)

The room was very clean and new, breakfast was really good, and the staff were so friendly. The hotel itself is amazing. Just know that if you want a quiet holiday and a full night’s sleep, you may want to stay away from the old city. The hotel and owner aren’t to blame, but you won’t sleep easily if noise bothers you. Metin, his wife, and the staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help us. We also loved the room: comfortable, nicely styled, with a beautiful view and the biggest shower we’d had on our trip. The hot water, AC, and everything else worked great, and the hairdryer was huge and powerful. The location was perfect. We’d worried about the nighttime noise reviews and expected the worst, but it wasn’t nearly as loud as we thought. To me it was more like white noise and helped me sleep. Five stars. I’d recommend Oldies to friends and come back if I could.
