Triana Hotel

The staff were friendly, which was the one good part of my stay. The room and its air conditioner both felt very old and had a stale smell, so anyone sensitive to smells should avoid it. The shower door was broken, the fridge hadn't been maintained, and the bathroom taps made a strange noise.

The place was clean and cozy, with a good breakfast and free tea and coffee all day. There's also a small pool at the back for summer. It was fine.

We were very satisfied and everything worked well, except for the broken toilet bowl in our room.

The cafes, dessert places, and souvenir shops just down the road were the best part of the location. The hotel itself feels homely and old fashioned, which we didn't mind at first, but the careless service became a real problem. When my family asked to have milk warmed for my two year old nephew, one receptionist was unpleasant and told the kitchen staff not to do it. It was a simple request, and I couldn't understand the lack of consideration. The bathroom tap came loose after a day. We reported it, but the next evening we returned to find there was no tap at all. They could have replaced it or offered us another room. The water also took around 10 minutes to get hot, and it built up in the shower while it was running. We spent too much of our stay dealing with room problems. There are plenty of other hotels in the same area, and I'd pay a little more for better service. Don't spend your time, money, and holiday here when you can find a much better experience elsewhere.
