Atar Airport Hotel & Spa

I stayed at Atar Airport Hotel in Istanbul during a layover and would happily stay again. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, just what I needed to rest between flights. The hotel is very handy if you need to be near the airport. The staff were friendly, professional, and quick to help, making the short stay smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended.

I got a room for one night through Revolut for only 22€. My flight landed very late, and although reception is open 24/7, as they confirmed when I messaged on WhatsApp, I had to take the H-6 bus from the airport at 4am. They wanted 25€ for a transfer, which seemed a lot for a 15 min drive. The bus fare was less than 2€ each way, but be warned, the walk along that road late at night felt pretty sketchy. The bus driver drove like a lunatic, missed my stop completely, and left me with an even longer walk. The room looked like the pictures, but mine wasn't nearly as clean. A duvet cover had a huge strange stain, one cup was dirty with a wooden spoon stuck in it, and the sink hadn't been cleaned properly. You could hear every noise from the road, hall, and other rooms. I put something under the door because the hallway light came on and shone into the room where I could see it from bed. Breakfast was about what you'd expect at that price. There wasn't much, but for what you pay, I can't complain. The people were nice, too. I wouldn't recommend walking to Atar alone by public transport in the dark. That's not the hotel's fault, but the location isn't ideal. During the day, taxis kept honking at me when they saw my luggage, and they were so persistent it drove me nuts. I don't think I'd choose this place again unless I were with more people and it was really necessary.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yeşim gave me the best massage I've had in a long time, maybe the best in years, and I travel a lot and have had massages all over the world. Her technique was spot on, with strong pressure where needed and a gentle, intuitive touch elsewhere. She found knots I didn't even know I had, and I left feeling lighter, happier, and like a new person. From her warm, sweet smile when I arrived to the way she checked the pressure and made sure I was comfortable throughout, Yeşim was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. The massage was pure magic and deeply relaxing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Yeşim. You're amazing! I'm already counting the days until I can come back. If you're staying at Atar Airport Hotel, or even if you're not, do yourself a favor and book a session with her. She's a treasure.

What began as a one-night stay at Atar Airport Hotel became three nights after flight cancellations and other travel disruptions. During that stressful stretch, the team stayed professional and caring, and Atar became a calm, reliable source of genuine support. When our plans fell apart, we sent the hotel a WhatsApp message. Within 15 minutes, their driver arrived to pick us up and bring us back safely. Every staff member and driver went out of their way to help, including our family and my 99 yr old grandmother. Their attention and willingness to help without hesitation meant a great deal to us, and we'll always be grateful.
