I needed somewhere near the airport to sleep before check-in, so I found this hotel on Google and showed up without a booking. The staff first quoted me a higher price. I showed them the rate on the official website, and they lowered it a bit. The room was shockingly small, with just one single bed. I explained that all I wanted was to sleep, but it faced the main road and there was constant noise. The lights kept coming on by themselves. I think a sensor was triggering them when I moved in bed. I didn’t sleep at all. I asked for a wake-up call, but it never came. I was already awake, so I didn’t need it, and I didn’t have time to argue with them. My honest one-word experience: TERRIBLE PLACE.

The front desk staff were friendly and helped arrange the rides we’d booked ahead, which made it easier to fit everything into our packed day. We were only there during a 12-hour layover at IST.

Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, and our room was kept spotless and neat every day. My husband, our 4-month-old baby, and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Istanbul Airport Arnavutkoy for almost a month, and it felt comfortable and well suited to families. The place was quiet, clean, and comfortable, so we felt safe and relaxed with an infant. The staff were warm, respectful, and always ready to help. I really appreciated how considerate they were toward families and children. We’re grateful for the care and hospitality throughout our stay. It was a happy experience, and God willing, we’ll come back.
