Trikos Boutique Hotel

There’s a big open area here that made our wedding feel like something out of a fairy tale, and they can also rent out smaller spaces for events. The whole place is a lovely escape from the city, close to the airport but surrounded by nature. The rooms, food, cleanliness and staff were all wonderful, and the team paid close attention to us as a couple. When a personal crisis came up at the last minute on our wedding day, they helped on very short notice even though it wasn’t their responsibility. My husband and I have come back since, and the atmosphere seems even better each time. Kule hotel is a 10/10 for a weekend away from the city. Thanks to all the staff, we hope to visit again soon.

I won’t be coming back. The garden is nice, but the management was really poor, and the food was ridiculously overpriced. The receptionist called a taxi for me to the airport, an 11 km trip that took 9 minutes and cost 340 Turkish lira. The day before, the same distance had cost me only 120 Turkish lira. It tripled in one day. I’m sure the hotel management or receptionist knew about it, and maybe was involved. I reported the taxi driver to the local authorities, but I haven’t heard back and don’t think I will.

We may be on holiday, but we’re not made of money. We think the restaurant overcharged us, which happened to us a lot in Turkey. The hotel itself was quirky and well placed for the airport, and our room was pleasant, clean and quiet. There was a leak outside the room that dripped and drove us crazy, and the table was coming away from the wall.

The location is very close to the airport, so it might be okay for a solo overnight stay, almost like a hostel. I wouldn’t recommend it to couples or trust it even for one night as a couple. After a 12-hour flight I had to carry my suitcase around looking for the room, on an uneven surface, because nobody offered to help or even showed me where the suite was. I had to change rooms twice before finding one that was clean, and that room still had dirty towels. They didn’t tell me check-in or checkout times, or when breakfast was. The hotel needs maintenance, and the staff need more training in customer service. The service was poor.
