Mozaik Otel

We were very disappointed. There was no one at reception to help, and when we rang the bell, the people who came out seemed confused and couldn’t sort out our reservation. The door wouldn’t lock from the outside, and the shower was too small even for me at 5 feet tall. We booked for three, but the space wasn’t ready for three as advertised. They brought us a bundle of blankets that looked as though it had just come from another room. There was nowhere to hang clothes, and the old furniture wasn’t usable, it seemed to be just for decoration. The hotel is run down, and there’s no restaurant or cafe.

Avanos has kept its traditional character and isn’t crowded with tourists like nearby Goreme. We really enjoyed our time in this charming town, and the panoramic views of the Kapadokia region from the dining room were stunning. Our stay at the stone Mozaik hotel was fantastic. The room made a great impression, and the service was attentive, polite, and generous. Halit arranged tours that helped us make the most of our visit, and Funda took perfect care of us and made us feel at home. She made a delicious breakfast every morning. We hope to return.

Everything was close by, from restaurants to things to do, and the place looked even better than the photos. It was very clean, with great service. The owners were such kind people and made us feel at home. They gave us a place to stay, took us on tours around the city, and cooked for us. If you’re looking for somewhere aesthetic with lovely people, this is for you.

After a long day, it was so nice to come back to this cute, peaceful place with its garden. The people working there were really kind and helpful, and always ready if we had a question or problem. Thank you 🫶🏻🧸🎀
