Ozlu Otel

A lovely place to stay, with very friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, and a tasty buffet breakfast included. The hotel has a great coffee shop and workplace attached, and sits at the start of Aydin center on a lively street. Minibuses are nearby, with interesting shops and places to eat all around. Walk a little farther along the main road, to the right when facing the street, and you’ll come to a pretty mosque and a romantic, decorated square lit up in the evening. People young and old gather around the big fountain, play or cycle in the square, and there’s even a piano you can play with your feet. The railway station is in the small street by the mosque. Keep going along the main road and you’ll reach another, cozier, more historic center, with lots of good food, different coffees and teas, and ice cream.

The price is good and the hotel is right in the city center. Our room was fairly spacious, and I liked the bathroom design, but it felt slippery and a bit dangerous. I couldn’t get a good rest after our long trip because sound carries so easily: I could hear people walking above us, cars from the street, and guests in the next room. The lift is tiny, and so is the door in front of reception.

I’ve traveled all over the world and haven’t had better service. Arid & Ummuhan were so helpful, especially with the Turkey travel advice I needed. They even sorted out bus tickets and times, everything. If you’re in Aydin, stay here.

The location is superb and the hotel is great. Breakfast gets repetitive, but it tastes good, and the Turkish tea is yummy. Not all the employees speak English, and even those who do aren’t very good at it. Google Translate helps.
