I stayed there with a friend years ago. They'd overbooked, so we ended up sleeping in the living room, with the smell of sacrificial meat around us. On our last day, check-out was supposed to be at 11, but they made us leave at 6 because they said they were leaving anyway. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The elderly couple running the guesthouse seemed well intentioned, which is why I gave it this rating, but there are a lot of things that need work. With no sign or directions, first-time visitors to Ayvalık may struggle to find it. There's no mini-fridge in the room, and we couldn't even have cold water. The bathroom and toilet are shared, the beds weren't good, and the room has no air conditioning. The heat gave us diaper rash. It needs improvement.

I had to leave as soon as I arrived. This is a guesthouse made from a 3+1 house, with a wooden front door and no air conditioning in the rooms. The shared bathrooms, toilets, and breakfast table shown in the pictures weren't actually what we found. The owner became angry and aggressive because my room would be left empty. When returning my deposit, he even cursed at me. Maybe suitable for students.

The owners are warm, welcoming, and family-friendly, and helped with everything. I think it's the most affordable place around. The rooms are clean and definitely have a sea view, and you're right in the middle of things, close to everything.

Uncle Yahya is such a sweet, kind person, and the place was incredibly clean. I was really pleased with my one-night stay. This is going to be one of my regular spots ♥️
