Carpe Diem Otel

We stayed three nights at Carpe Diem Otel on another memorable trip to our favourite Turkish town, Ayvalik. We’d noticed the hotel many times before and finally decided to try it. It’s close to shops, the old harbour, supermarkets, and restaurants, with a bus stop right out front for getting around Ayvalik and the surrounding area. We booked a luxury double room with balcony, sea view and breakfast. It was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. Breakfast was good and plentiful, with fantastic views from the top-floor restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful and gave good service. The price was good too, and I’d recommend Carpe Diem Otel.

The rooftop view was lovely, and the staff were very professional. This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in the area, and it’s very close to the sea.

We paid 750 ₺ for one night in a room for three, including breakfast, on 22July2021. The hotel is in a good spot, about a 10-minute walk from the center.

I was only here for a short stay, so I can’t speak to everything, and I don’t know about the food. The room worked for one person and a brief visit, though it might feel cramped for longer. Mine was very hygienic, especially the bathroom, and I didn’t notice a general smell in the hotel. There was an occasional smell from olives in Ayvalık, though. It’s close to the center, with frequent buses stopping right outside and going everywhere. You can park along the road or use one of the nearby lots. The staff were really attentive. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, checked me in quickly, and even sorted out coffee for me although the service areas were closed. I enjoyed it on the terrace. The older woman making the coffee was very busy but served it quickly with a smile, and I was looking forward to my evening coffee. She seems like the hotel’s right-hand person, and I hope people like her have good luck. Thanks, I’m glad I came. I wonder what I’d have written after a longer vacation ;)))
