I rarely feel this relaxed traveling with celiac disease, but at Gule Otel I did. My partner and I came in the off-season, and from our first meeting, Şehnaz made me feel cared for. She didn’t claim to know everything about celiac disease. She listened, asked thoughtful questions, and showed she took my health seriously. Each morning, she carefully kept my breakfast separate from my partner’s. She cooked my eggs in a separate pot and offered foil so my gluten-free bread wouldn’t touch the toaster after explaining the risk of cross-contamination. She made sure I had what I needed in a calm, respectful way, without making me feel like a burden. The food was fresh, local, and delicious: cheeses, eggs, honey, fruit, jams, and fresh juices. Şehnaz walked me through what was on the table, so I could enjoy breakfast without stress. I never felt at risk of cross-contact, and that kind of peace of mind is rare. Our room was bright and welcoming, and I kept my gluten-free bread in the fridge. The hotel has a warm, calm feel and lots of lovely details. Şehnaz also makes her own olive oil and liquid soap. I brought both home and recommend them. If you have celiac disease, you’ll feel seen and safe here. Speak up and ask questions as you would anywhere, and know Şehnaz will listen and do her part. Living with celiac doesn’t mean missing out. I share reviews like this to help others travel safely and eat well without fear.

The staff made our stay, always friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. Gule Cunda also has a great location, with easy access to beautiful views and charming local attractions. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated. We had a magical time from June 5 to June 9, 2024, and have already planned to return soon :) Highly recommended!

We loved our two nights at Güle Otel and look forward to visiting again. The location was perfect, the room very clean, and breakfast amazing. Şehnaz hanım and Erol bey were helpful from the time we made the reservation until we left.

The breakfasts were phenomenal: fresh vegetables, bread, baked goods, tea, jam, honey, and more. The owners make their own olive oil and serve it at breakfast. It’s some of the best I’ve ever had. Şehnaz was so kind and welcoming that I felt at home. Traveling alone as a woman, I felt safe and looked after, like family. The hotel is a beautifully restored home on a quiet street, just a short walk from the seaside, so there’s no need to worry about noise from restaurants and bars. My room was super clean, the water was nice and hot, and the Wi-Fi worked well enough for video calls with friends back home. I stayed four days and only wish I could have stayed longer. Cunda is a lovely island, and Şehnaz and the Gule Hotel staff made my trip so much better. The price is exceptionally reasonable, and the service was the best. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re a woman traveling solo.

The breakfast was a lovely start to each day, with a variety of regional flavors and especially good local cheese. The rooms also made a strong impression: cozy, clean, authentic, and welcoming, with thoughtful decor and amenities. The staff took care of everything with real attention, professionalism, and a helpful attitude that went beyond what I expected. Güle Hotel is conveniently close to the old town, which made it easy to explore the area’s charm and history. Owners Şehnaz and Erol gave us detailed suggestions for activities and nearby attractions, which helped us make the most of our visit with our two sons. Between the location, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and breakfast, we had a memorable stay. I’d strongly recommend the hotel and look forward to coming back 😊
