Aprilis Gold Hotel

We visited in October 2025, and the staff were the real highlight: friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Nazare was terrific, especially helpful and very nice, and the reception team were top drawer too. The hotel is in Istanbul's old city, close to a major tram stop and within walking distance of many sights. The rooms were clean and modern, not especially big but roomy enough for two. Breakfast is served every morning, with a good selection to start the day. I'd recommend staying here in Istanbul.

The buffet breakfast had a good range of food, and the rooms were quiet with no street noise. It's a great location, under a 15-minute walk from all the major attractions. This is a smashing little hotel, with friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, and hot rainfall showers.

Veysel at reception was always friendly and so helpful. We had a great time here, and breakfast was a solid 5/5. The location is great too, with everything within walking distance. If we come back to Turkey, we'd love to stay here again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The rooms weren't hygienic, and the extra charge for a visitor felt inappropriate. I paid 400€ for five days. My friend wanted to visit, but the hotel asked him for another 90€. He said no, and I did too. We talked outside, and I honestly wonder what harm it would've done for him to come in. I even told them there would be two of us when I booked, and they said the price would stay the same. My first plan was cancelled, then another friend wanted to come. I definitely won't return or recommend the place. Do some more research and you can find a cheaper, more comfortable hotel in Sultanahmet.
