If all you need is a place to sleep before heading out, it may be okay. The location is very good, opposite the 9 Eylül gate of the Izmir Fair and beside the old Konak municipality building. But the building and rooms are very old, the rooms are cramped, and cleaning is poor. The floors were dirty, the toilet was terrible, and the bathroom was old enough that I wouldn't shower there for fear of germs.
I paid the full room rate for only 5 hours. I checked in at 7 a.m., paid, and left for work. When they asked if I had checked out, I said no, I'd be back that night. They then told me I'd have to pay again because a new day's reservation would be created at 9 a.m. They charged me again without warning, which felt like a scam.
It's right across from the Izmir Fairgrounds, and the location is great. We stayed two days and were very satisfied, with clean rooms, friendly staff, and even breakfast. When they couldn't charge us, the staff were helpful about payment and let us pay at checkout. It felt like a perfect place for a family, and we'll definitely come again.
I came for 5 days, and I've now been here 480 days. The staff's friendly way of handling problems keeps bringing me back, especially the ladies who clean our rooms.
The price is reasonable for a mid-range hotel. A good fit if your expectations are low.
