We enjoyed the homey feel and plan to return, inshallah. The older building hasn’t compromised on quality, and our host was friendly and helpful at every turn. The breakfast was filling, and the homemade jams they brought out were a real treat. Our room for three was spacious and had air conditioners. There were a few drawbacks: the mattresses were on the hard side, the balcony wouldn’t lock properly, and once the water shut off, so we couldn’t use the washroom or shower. The host helped right away and got the water issue resolved. The attached photos were taken when we left, which is why the sheets look messy.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and you can walk easily to the city centre. There’s parking across the road, and the place has a lovely garden with a sea view. Our clean apartment had a small kitchen. Definitely recommended.

The crafts made in the owner’s on-site workshop are real works of craftsmanship, and I was impressed. I’m usually selective about what goes on my wall or what I give as gifts, but these felt like works of love that found me. The magnets and skillfully made working windmills now decorate my parents’ homes, proud reminders of our trip to Ayvalik. My wife and I came for our second honeymoon, and the whole stay exceeded my expectations. The owner was professional and welcoming, and there were never any surprises. The wine and cheese plate were excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the hotel was away from downtown’s bustle but still within reach of the minibus stop, shops, bars, and more. We’d hoped to bring my in-laws for a few summer days, but other commitments changed those plans. I’ve stayed in hotels all over Turkey, and this was easily my best experience. Thank you for making it a trip to remember!
