Mai Otel Cunda

Everything else was great, and the cleaning was excellent, not a speck of dust anywhere. Whoever cleaned it did a great job. Just one of the pillows was very hard.

Mai is an old stone house in a nice spot in the neighborhood. Parking wasn't an issue, as there's an empty lot next door where you can leave the car. The owners are lovely and helpful in every way, and the service is really good. I'd consider Mai again if I return.

The room was very clean, and there's a parking area right next door. It isn't paved, which is understandable in Cunda, but being able to park right in front of the hotel made things easy. The hotel has individual rooms rather than a reception desk. We called to say we were arriving, and a gentleman came right away to help with our luggage. Thanks! The streets in Cunda are narrow, so finding the address on a map can be tricky, but they helped when we called. From the hotel, it's a 10-minute walk down side streets to the market. That route is a bit rocky and steep, so we took the driveway instead, which was easier. We chose the hotel for a two-day vacation. Thanks for everything.

The hotel itself was nice, good value for the price, and everything apart from breakfast was adequate. We booked a breakfast package but didn't realize the cafe was 10 minutes away. Making that walk every morning was bad enough, then the service at Taka Cafe was poor. The staff were indifferent and very disrespectful, and we practically had to beg for service each morning. I'd suggest the hotel end its agreement with Taka Cafe. Also, repeated showers can use up the hot water.
