Mare

The staff were incredibly nice, though they didn't understand English, so communicating was hard. The local people understood Serbian well, which made shopping easy. We had half-board for our ten-day stay in 2021 and got to try Turkish food, with no pork. There were lots of choices at meals, although the food was hit or miss. The hotel is just 50 meters from the beach and has a large pool on the balcony. Our room felt too small, and being at the back of the hotel meant we didn't get much of a sea view. Still, we had a great stay and would visit again if we return to Turkey.

The restaurant only took cash, which was a disappointment. The hotel followed the measures against the spread of COVID 19, and the staff were very kind. Our room was decent and clean, and the food was great, with both Turkish and classic European options. I mostly tried the local dishes, and you should give them a try too. There's a pool, and its water was warmer than the sea. The sea felt colder than I'm used to, about like the Danube, but Sarimsakli is a great choice if cold water doesn't bother you.

We were staying at the neighboring Hotel Buyuk Berk and tried to park beside our hotel, near Hotel Mare. The manager of Hotel Mare, Mare, sent us away. There were no traffic signs saying the parking beside Bujürk Berk hotel was reserved only for Mare guests. She was aggressive, argued with tourists, and threatened to damage their cars.

Everything was really good, though the internet can be an issue sometimes.
