Gülhan was especially attentive and kind. When we arrived, we realized the room we’d booked through Agoda had a shared sink and bathroom, which the website hadn’t mentioned. My wife was pregnant, so Gülhan went out of her way to arrange a room with a private shower and sink for us. She didn’t just tell us to accept the room we had booked, she did everything she could to help. Everyone was welcoming, polite, and courteous. It’s genuinely good value, and we loved the hotel. We travel to a different city for each holiday day, and if I’m in Ayvalık again, I’d stay here without hesitation.

We had booked a room and agreed on the details, and they hadn’t asked us to pay over the phone. I explained that my family and I were travelling from Izmir, then we arrived at the hotel. At 8:45 pm, just five minutes before we were due to arrive, they told us the room had been booked online by someone else, that there’d been a mistake, and cancelled our reservation. We were left outside and searched 17 hotels before finding somewhere. We spent about two hours looking for a place to stay, and my elderly parents were really upset, asking if we were going to be homeless. The hotel contacted me later, apologizing and saying they couldn’t find us another place. They first messaged two hours later, saying I had damaged their commercial reputation and would be sued if I didn’t correct my review. I corrected the timing to 45 minutes later, and explained that when I called to book, they’d said the drive was only 1.5 hours. I won’t apologize. Maybe management will take customers seriously and avoid mistakes like this. The management was completely indifferent, and what happened to us was unfair. Don’t trust them or travel there without confirmation, as we did.

The forest view from the rooms and being able to walk to both the sea and municipal facilities made this a lovely place to stay. I travelled with my cat and was comfortable, so being pet-friendly was a real plus for me. It’s peaceful, clean, and full of friendly faces, with a useful, clean shared kitchen and a nice sense of people helping one another. It felt like home in this warm family business, tucked into nature. I won’t look for somewhere else in Ayvalık now. 🌿🐾

We loved the green setting right beside a lovely forest, and had a wonderful stay at Moon. Breakfast in the garden was a treat, and the owners’ dogs were calm and sweet to play with. The living room’s open kitchen works perfectly for sharing meals. The owners are warm, welcoming, and always there to help. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
