Ortunc Hotel Cunda Island

I was at Megasaray Resort Side for six nights in early November 2025, during the off season, so it wasn’t too crowded. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to someone wanting a multi-day all-inclusive break in Manavgat/Antalya. It was above average, though not quite a 4- or 5-star experience. I liked it considerably more than Side Yesiloz Hotel, where I stayed the month before. The location was reasonable, and Sorgun Çamiçip public beach is a short drive away. For Manavgat center or Side old city, you’ll need a car or bus. Google Maps wasn’t much help with local bus info, but reception explained how to reach Nova Mall for a simcard. The bus was easy and cheap. I also liked having so many cats around. There’s a grey and white one at reception that staff seem to love, while others hang around the restaurant or outside. Some are friendly and some keep their distance. Most tolerate people, but not all want to be petted, and the cats sometimes fight each other. They have a cat house with dry food, though a few sneaky ones helped themselves to restaurant food even though they weren’t supposed to. There were plenty of facilities: pools, slides and water activities, a spa and sauna, fitness room, small store, kids’ activity center and playground, plus tennis, football, and basketball areas. I didn’t use the water activities. There were also on-site services and plentiful food. The restaurant had late-night snacks, and on the main floor there was a patisserie with desserts and coffee, even before lunch started. In the afternoon, the entrance had delicious lemonade. Drinks included sodas and alcohol from the afternoon onward. At breakfast, though, I was surprised there was no juice, only water or coffee and tea options. There was an occasional ice cream cart outside and a freezer of ice cream bars near the bar, both better than the indoor desserts. The food selection was wide and better than at Side Yesiloz, but most of what I tried was just okay, so I fell back on basics like eggs, waffles, fries, and pasta. Colleagues said the fancy-looking desserts all tasted much the same and were average, an issue I’d also seen at Side Yesiloz. Internet, use of the room safe, and free alcohol were included, unlike at Side Yesiloz, though I don’t drink. My room had a lovely balcony view but was on the small side. Sharing it with a work roommate made it tight, so we pushed the beds a bit farther apart. At night, music from the bar and neighboring properties was noisy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke English. There were lots of amenities and services on site. I appreciated the abundance of cats too.
