The hosts were wonderful, so helpful and lovely, and the washing machine was great. The place works for two, but the fold-out bed was very hard and there were no blankets. The shower leaked all over the bathroom, and the TV had no English-language channels.

The host was very kind and attentive, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and the location was great. It’s pet-friendly too, which is a rare thing to find in Turkey.

I spent one night in an apartment while passing through Ayvalik. The accommodation was decent, and I recommend it.

The owners were kind and polite, and the apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived. We had a pleasant holiday, and they tried to provide the comfort you’d get at a hotel, with towels, shampoo and the like. We stayed from Tuesday, August 26th to Friday, August 29th. As described, it’s a studio: a partition separates the bedroom and bathroom/toilet from the kitchen and living area, but there’s no door between them. It had lots of things a family might need, including TV, internet, AC, hot water and all the kitchen supplies. There’s a balcony just outside the door where we ate meals and breakfast, and a market nearby. The apartment is in a gated community where other apartments have cats and dogs. That didn’t bother us, but it may matter to people sensitive to this. The sea is walkable, or you can drive if you’d rather not carry umbrellas and chairs. There are plenty of parking spots near the beach in the mornings. We also walked to and from Sarımsaklı market.
