When we booked 15 days ahead, we were told two single rooms would be available, and they even sent us a video of them. But when we arrived at 4 PM on the reservation day, we were told those rooms had been given to someone else and were shown one double room instead. If they'd told me that day, I wouldn't have written this review. The only option offered was a folding bed wedged into the tiny gap between the floor and wall, with one foot squeezed in.

We had trouble finding the place, so the owner, Güner abi, came to pick us up. The evening chat in the garden was lovely, and the coffee he made himself was delicious. We were really pleased we came after reading the reviews. The place was spotless, and Güner abi was so attentive and cheerful. His conversation alone makes it worth a visit. We definitely recommend it.

Staying in a renovated Greek house was a lovely experience, and the location is good. Mr. Güner, the owner, is kind and attentive. We did sometimes get an unpleasant smell from the bathroom, apparently because of Ayvalık's inadequate infrastructure. We dealt with it by covering the drain with a piece of toilet paper.

We spent four nights here, and Mr. Koray, the manager, got in touch as soon as we booked. He was attentive and helpful, and suggestions for places to visit and things to do shaped our tour plans. The central location was a real advantage. Cunda was only 20 minutes away by minibus and small boat. Thanks for everything, we'll choose you again.

Preserving history is up to us. Protecting beautiful places like this and getting to see them again and again makes me happy.
